CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Nine people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a two-car crash in Chicopee.
It happened just before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Montcalm and Britton Streets.
Chicopee Police Lt. Richard Nunes told 22News a Valley Opportunity Council van and a pickup truck collided. He said many of the injured victims were special needs. At least three ambulances were needed to assist the victims.
A portion of Montcalm Street was closed for about one hour after the crash.
