SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - If you'll be heading to beach resorts, hotels and motels , particularly on Cape Cod are offering more specials because of the economy.

The State Office of Travel and Tourism told 22News that businesses are conscious that vacationers this year want value for their money.

Because of the recession, hotels are offering special deals particularly on weekends in many large cities. Las Vegas is one city that is offering deals, just ask one frequent traveler.

A Sturbridge man who travels often said he recently got great prices in Las Vegas at hotels and golf courses, prices he said he wouldn’t have gotten a year ago.
