AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) - There are over 2,000 unintentional deaths each year from carbon
monoxide poisoning.
A law passed in 2005 requires a carbon monoxide detector on
every floor of a home. Detectors range in cost from $20 to $60.
22News spoke with Agawam Deputy Fire Chief Alan Sirois about
a program aimed at helping low-income families and senior citizens
install detectors in their homes.
If you have any questions about the program, you can contact
the Agawam Fire Department at 413-786-2662.
