HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - 22News Warming Hearts gave a helping hand to one Holyoke family
struggling with their heating bills this winter.
Alina Colon and her husband Fred Cintron say the 300 dollar
voucher for fuel assistance from Warming Hearts will help them pay
their heating bill.
They say they never thought their family would need help but
budgets have gotten tight, after a faltering economy left them
making less money at their jobs. "They've been cutting hours at my
job so its been kind of tough paying the bills, now I'm down to 32
hours a week, they gave us this whole week off with no pay," said
Fred Cintron, Warming Hearts recipient.
The Warming Hearts is supported by 22News, The United Way and
Reminder Publications.
