Water main breaks in Forest Park

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield Water and Sewer Crews could be working all night repairing a water main break in Forest Park in Springfield.

Springfield Police Lt. Robert Strempek told 22News the water started bubbling up on Fort Pleasant Avenue near Riverview Terrace about 3:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Lt. Strempek said some neighbors will likely have water service interruptions, and the repair crews expect to be there most of the night.

There are no problems with traffic so far.
