Chance to win an energy efficient home

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - In the market for an energy efficient home?  22News is working for you tonight with information on a special local lottery that could make you a big winner.

It's not Megamillions, but winning this lottery could save you some serious cash on your energy bill.  WMECO and Rural Development Incorporated are teaming up to hold a special lottery in Greenfield on May 15th.

Eleven local families will win a chance to become owners of "net zero-energy homes", reasonably priced homes that generate almost all of their own energy.  Low to moderate income families are eligible to apply.

The homes are in Greenfield's "Wisdom Way Solar Village", one of only a few affordable housing net zero energy communities in the U-S.
