CONWAY, Mass (WWLP) - You wouldn't think any good would come out of western Massachusetts terrible ice storm last December.
But yesterday's town-wide networking fair in the Franklin count community of Conway, had its beginning back then, when people got to know their neighbors during adversity.
It seemed like the whole town turned out at the Conway Grammar school, becoming familiar with what kinds of services are being provided by their neighbors.
“I found out about this during our ice storm which was pretty devastating for the whole area. We came together with a lot of our neighbors in the middle of winter when you're not connected with a lot of your neighbors,” said Marcus McLaurin of Conway.
Even in a small town like Conway people aren't always familiar with a neighbor's job and how that job could one day be of benefit to people living nearby.
