Mass. man killed in snowmobile accident

WINCHENDON, Mass. (AP) - Police say a Winchendon man has died after he crashed his snowmobile into a tree.
Winchendon police say Richard A. Maynard III was found severely hurt and unresponsive at about 2 a.m. Saturday near New Boston Road.
They say the 34-year-old Maynard's snowmobile had extensive damage after it left a trail and slammed into a large tree.
Local and state environmental police are investigating the accident.
