BOSTON (AP) - Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren is getting the backing of a trio of Bay State friends turned Hollywood heartthrobs.

Former Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School pals Matt Damon and Ben Affleck and Newton South High School graduate John Krasinski -- the nice guy prankster from "The Office" -- are hosting a fundraising event for Warren.

The event will be held at Bad Robot Productions , the production company of J.J. Abrams, a creator of television shows including "Alias, " "Lost" and "Fringe" and big screen offerings such as "Star Trek."

For $5 a chance, Warren's campaign is also raffling off a pair of tickets to attend the fundraiser, including airfare and accommodations.

Warren is hoping to unseat Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown .

Brown's campaign has faulted Warren for relying too heavily on donations from Hollywood.
