BOSTON, Mass. (AP) - The Massachusetts Council on Compulsive Gambling is hosting a Super Bowl party for people who want to avoid gambling on the football game.
The "bet-free" party at the nonprofit's Boston office will kick off at 5 p.m. Sunday, an hour and a half before kickoff.
The football game will be shown on one floor of the High Street office, while a support meeting for gambling addicts takes place on another floor.
Council officials say the Super Bowl is a high-risk event for people who battle gambling problems.
They say the event is free and families are welcome.
