BOSTON, Mass. (AP) -
A former Boston University hockey player has pleaded guilty to assault after prosecutors say he groped a woman in a school dorm last year.
Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley says Corey Trivino pleaded guilty Tuesday to two assault charges and trespassing as his trial was about to begin.
A judge sentenced the 22-year-old to two years of probation and ordered him to stay away from the victim among other conditions.
Trivino was a leading goal scorer at the time of his December arrest, but was kicked off the team.
In March, prosecutors dropped a charge against him of assault with intent to rape the victim.
Authorities say Trivino forced his way into a resident advisor's room, assaulting her after she asked him and others to be observe mandatory quiet hours.
