GROVELAND, Mass. (WHDH) - A young Massachusetts woman was found dead on board a cruise ship in Australia Sunday.

Investigators believe her death was an accident.

Jackie Kastrinelis was living her dream; performing on cruise ships that took her all over the world.

"She was just such a talent that it was undeniable that she was going to be something great," said Jacob Benjamin Taylor, a professional photographer.

But at age 24, her life was cut short. The Groveland native and graduate of Pentucket Regional High School was found dead in her cabin in Australia.

"You don't think about these kinds of things -- you think about the life that you saw in a student. You think about the potential, so it's hard," said Jonathan Seymour, Pentucket Regional High School principal.

Details of her death are still unclear, but she may have hit her head during a rehearsal on board the ship.
