Deadline to vote for Kennedy successor

(WWLP) - Time is running out if you want to register to vote in the state primary to replace the late Senator Ted Kennedy.

The registration deadline is 8pm Wednesday, November 18th.

Gladys Oyola, from the Springfield Elections Office, told 22News interest in this primary is pretty low.

Oyola said few people are registering to vote. "We've had 1 or 2 people walk in this past week or so from last Tuesday to this Tuesday."

The senate primary is on December 8th...and the state election to fill late Senator Ted Kennedy's vacant senate seat is on January 19th.
