Funding for electronic health records

$14.6M to help transition to electronic records

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - 15 hospitals and 12 health care professionals across the state will split more than 14.6 million dollars in federal fudning to help transition to electronic health records.

Governor Patrick says the move will contribute to the administration's health care costs containment efforts and improve patient care.

Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield and Baystate Medical Center in Springfield will both receive funding, as well as 8 other health care professional in the Springfield area.
