Girl, 2, dies after being hit by vehicle in Mass.

SAUGUS, Mass. (AP) - Police say a 2-year-old girl has died after she was hit by a vehicle in a Boston suburb.

Police tell WCVB-TV that officers arrived at a Saugus intersection Sunday afternoon after getting calls that a toddler had been struck. The girl was taken to a hospital, where she died.

Authorities are investigating.

Saugus is a town of about 27,000 that's 13 miles north of Boston.
