BOSTON (AP) - Democratic Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren has released a new radio ad touting what she says is the success of a new federal consumer watchdog agency she helped create.

The ad points to a recent enforcement action by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau against Capital One Bank. The action requires the bank to pay $210 million in refunds and fines after the agency found phone bank operators at the bank targeted people with poor credit.

The ad uses audio of President Barack Obama crediting Warren with coming up with the idea for a new independent agency to represent the interests of consumers and middle class families.

Warren is challenging Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown. The race is already the most expensive in state history with Election Day still months away.
