BOSTON (AP) - Jurors in the corruption trial of former Massachusetts Treasurer Tim Cahill are set to start their seventh day of deliberations.

On Tuesday, the jury acquitted Cahill's former campaign manager, Scott Campbell, but did not reach a verdict on the same conspiracy charges against Cahill.

Jurors are scheduled to resume deliberations Wednesday morning.

Both men were charged with scheming to use $1. 5 million in advertising for the state lottery to boost Cahill's 2010 independent gubernatorial bid.

Cahill testified that he approved the ads to help defend the lottery against Republican attack ads.

The Suffolk Superior Court jury began deliberating Dec. 4.

Judge Christine Roach on Tuesday gave the jury a standard instruction given to deadlocked jurors, urging them to go back and try again to reach a unanimous verdict.
