DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) - Monday wasn't an ordinary shopping day for some Kohl's customers.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on March 18, two New Bedford residents were escorted out of Kohl's Department Store by Dartmouth Police.

Mitchell Violet, 24, and Jemaul Oliveria, 25, were arrested for shoplifting.

Authorities searched their vehicle and found a 9MM firearm with numerous rounds inside.

Both Violet and Oliveria were charged with shoplifting, possession of ammunition without a firearms identification card, and carrying a firearm without a license.
