(WWLP) - Massachusetts officials have opened the state emergency operations center in Framingham to coordinate responses to the storm.  In southern New England, forecasters say there could be storm surges of 6 to 11 feet in Long Island Sound. The region could also see wind gusts of up to 70 mph and heavy rains, with the worst conditions this afternoon into tomorrow morning.

Lt. Gov. Tim Murray talked to 22News anchors Rich Tettemer and Jackie Brousseau Monday morning about storm preparations in Massachusetts.
