(WWLP) - Massachusetts officials have opened the state emergency operations center in Framingham to coordinate responses to the storm. In southern New England, forecasters say there could be storm surges of 6 to 11 feet in Long Island Sound. The region could also see wind gusts of up to 70 mph and heavy rains, with the worst conditions this afternoon into tomorrow morning.
