ATTLEBORO, Mass. (AP) - An Attleboro woman who said she was duped into posing her 10-year-old daughter nude over a webcam for a man she thought was a professional photographer has been sent to jail.

The 41-year-old mother pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a charge of misdemeanor assault and battery under a plea deal with prosecutors. The charge was reduced from felony indecent assault and battery. A charge of posing a child in the nude was dropped.

The Sun Chronicle reports that the woman was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in jail with three months to serve.

The woman said she was looking for modeling work for her and her daughter when she was persuaded by an Iowa man to pose the girl nude.

That man is facing child exploitation charges.
