TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) - Taunton Police are investigating an unusual robbery where victims were marched up to an apartment and back down again at gunpoint. Four suspects are now being held, according to the police department's Facebook page.
Officers got a tip of a man being led at gunpoint up to a third-floor apartment on Oak Street -- then, a bound man being led down the stairs at gunpoint to a waiting vehicle -- about 1 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
When officers arrived at the scene, two suspects ran off but were captured in short order over on Greylock Avenue. Two other suspects were taken into custody at the Oak Street address.
It appears the victims had been targeted in a robbery attempt, police said.
They've tentatively identified the suspects as follows:
Sanchez was held without bail. The others were held on a million dollars bail each.
Charges include armed robbery, kidnapping and illegal possession of a firearm. The police investigation is continuing.
