WEYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) - A man freed due to the scandal at a state drug lab has been arrested again for allegedly trying to deal drugs.

The Patriot Ledger reports that 24-year-old Arthur Cole was arrested Friday on charges including trafficking in cocaine. The paper says he was ordered held on $25,000 bail before a Tuesday arraignment. It wasn't clear Monday if Cole had an attorney.

Weymouth police said Cole was arrested on drug charges in March 2011 and received a two-year sentence last June.

But Cole was released in December due to the scandal involving former state chemist Annie Dookhan , who's pleaded not guilty to fabricating test results and tampering with drug evidence.

Police said after Cole's release, they got tips he was dealing drugs. They say they found drugs at his residence after obtaining a search warrant.
