CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Western Massachusetts is set to receive more than $25 million for local road and bridge projects as part of a $200 million transportation bond bill passed last week by the Legislature .
The Chapter 90 funds are allocated to cities and towns using a formula based on community road miles, population and employment.
$14.2 million has been designated for Hampden County. Hampshire County will see $5.4 million and Franklin County will receive $7 million.
