WELLESLEY, Mass. (AP) - Hundreds of children are raising money for cancer research this weekend in a series of charitable bike rides around Massachusetts.
The Pan Mass. Challenge Kids Rides will be held Sunday in Wellesley-Weston, Littleton, Marblehead, Milton-Dorchester, Natick, Westborough and Westwood.
Sunday's events are just a few of the 40 kids' rides scheduled for this summer around New England in which 7,000 children are expected to raise more than $1 million combined.
The Wellesley-Weston route that starts and ends at Babson College is the largest of the kids rides, with more than 700 children expected to participate. Last year, the event raised $130,000.
Money raised goes to the Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
