BOSTON, Mass. (AP) - Eight people are dead after four separate Independence Day crashes in eastern Massachusetts.

Two of the accidents were triple fatalities, including a single-car crash at about 1 a.m. in Walpole and a rollover on Route 95 in Attleboro at about 2:45 a.m. that killed three men.

There was one survivor in both crashes.

In Quincy, a four-car crash just after midnight left one man dead and one person in critical condition. Police were still investigating the cause.

And in Sudbury, a man was killed in a single-car crash at about 6:20 p.m. on Route 20. Police said speed appears to be a factor.

Police withheld the identities of the victims in each case
