FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (AP) - A teenager has been ordered held without bail in the shooting death of another teen whose body was found on a wooded state park trail in Framingham.
Seventeen-year-old Marquise Brown of Marlborough pleaded not guilty to murder at his arraignment Tuesday.
Brown is accused in the death of 17-year-old Tyriffe Lewis, whose body was found Saturday with multiple gunshot wounds at Callahan State Park.
Middlesex County prosecutor Michael Fabbri said Brown was angry with Lewis because Lewis beat him up at a party after the two argued because Lewis stole marijuana from him.
Fabbri said partygoers heard Brown vow revenge.
He said Brown brought Lewis and another man to the park under a ruse that they would smoke marijuana.
A call to Brown's attorney was not immediately returned Tuesday.
