HINGHAM, Mass. (AP) - A judge has ruled that a man accused of luring a 6-year-old girl
into a Hanover apartment, injecting her with cocaine and attempting
to rape her must remain in jail.
Hingham District Judge Ronald Moynahan said Wednesday that
26-year-old Justin Shine is too dangerous to be released as he
awaits trial on charges including kidnapping and attempted rape.
Moynahan says the man "reeks of terror and reeks of terror on
6-year-old girls."
Assistant District Attorney Sharon Donatelle said Shine
promised to show the girl gerbils to get her into his apartment. He
then allegedly taped her mouth and hands, shackled her feet and
injected cocaine into her hip.
The girl fled the apartment as police were going door to
door looking for her.
Shine is expected back in court on July 28.
