SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Another crash at a Springfield mean street with a history of fatal accidents.

Drivers are known for speeding through the sharp curve where St. James Avenue meets St. James Circle.

Veteran Springfield traffic cop, Sergeant Thomas Long told 22News, several people have been killed on this road.

On Sunday morning a driver survived after crashing into the front steps of a home near the St. James avenue curve.

A neighbor expressed concern for the children.

“Seeing kids getting hit crossing the street or whatever it may be. There are people that have run into the corner house several times. People go speeding all the time.”

The speed limit on this busy street is 25 mile an hour.
