SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Drivers and neighbors alike claim that a Mean Street in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield places them in constant Jeopardy.
A sign a block away warns drivers about the flashing lights ahead at Pasco Road and Goodwin Street.
22News observed cars exceeding the speed limit on Pasco Road, while drivers ignored the stop signs and flashing red light on Goodwin Street.
One neighbor showed 22News debris near his home from recent accidents at the intersection.
“My grandfather put up a concrete block to protect the fence from getting crashed again. Our home insurance doesn't want to pay for it,” said David Acevedo.
Another neighbor told 22News, it really gets dangerous. When the light turns green a block away, some drivers at Goodwin and Pasco mistakenly think it's okay for them to go.
