CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Pedestrians are scared to try to cross the street at a mean
intersection in Chicopee.
Kathleen Oullette told 22News she often has to wait 10
minutes before drivers will allow her to cross Chicopee Street at
the Prospect Street intersection.
Her biggest obstacle are drivers entering Chicopee St. from
Prospect.
"It's frightening, I'm afraid to get it by a car. If I don't run
I'm going to be injured by someone who just can't be bothered to
stop the car," said Oullette.
Too, the pedestrian crossing button is broken which makes
going across the street unsafe.
