Jackie Ibanez

(WWLP) - Jackie Ibañez joined the 22News team in June of 2007 after receiving her bachelors in broadcast journalism from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.   She currently anchors the weekend morning news, and she also is the weekday morning live reporter. Jackie, also known as Jax around the station, grew up in Cache Valley, Utah.   In pursuit of her broadcasting career, she left her hometown after graduating high school and planted her roots out east in 2003.  She has been in love with the fast pace of the east coast ever since.

During her college years, Jax had the opportunity to intern at a variety of stations including KUTV in Salt Lake City; Channel 12 in Norwalk, Connecticut; NBC Sports in Manhattan; and she was also honored to be selected as a correspondent for MSNBC on campus.

In her free time, she enjoys camping, fishing, spending time with friends and family, and being very active in her faith. She enjoys meeting new people and sharing their lives and experiences.
