Anchor / Reporter
(WWLP) - Rich Tettemer currently anchors the weekday morning and noon
editions of 22News. Rich joined WWLP in April of 1988 as
sports director. Previously, he worked as the weekend sports
anchor/reporter for KODE-TV in Joplin, Missouri, and as a sports
editor for WFLA-TV in Florida.
Rich is a graduate of the University of South Florida in
Tampa where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications
and Broadcasting.
During his career at 22News, he was voted by the readers of
the Springfield Advocate and the Valley Advocate as Best
Sportscaster. Rich has also garnered 13 Associated Press
Awards from 1994 through 2006. Additionally, he has served as
co-host of the Children's Miracle Network Telethon since 1989.
Rich resides in western Massachusetts with Valerie, his wife,
and his three children.
