Elysia Rodriguez

(WWLP) - Elysia Rodriguez joined WWLP-22News in August of 2009 as a general assignment reporter. She currently anchors the weekday early evening newscasts.

Her career in journalism began in Providence, Rhode Island as a producer for the CBS affiliate, WPRI. She then moved to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to begin her on-air career as a reporter, anchor and photographer for the ABC affiliate, WQOW.

Born in Tampa, FL, she was primarily raised in the Philippines. She graduated with a dual degree in Political Science and Communications from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI.

Elysia was the first local reporter to provide live coverage from Northampton on a series of deadly arson fires and continued the coverage for affiliates including MSNBC.
