(WWLP) - Laura Hutchinson is the 22News I-Team reporter. She also moderates the station’s public affairs program, 22News inFocus, and Laura also anchors the 5:30 p.m. weeknight newscasts. She was recently honored by Western Mass Women Magazine’s as one of the Top 25 Women to Watch.
Before arriving at 22News, Laura was living in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York. She was working as a one-man-band reporter at WENY-TV News in Elmira. There, she worked primarily as the station’s court and crime reporter. She also learned how to produce a show, anchor a newscast and wear several other hats whenever needed!
Before that, she was living in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, where she was making graphics and working in the control room for the CW Philly Wakeup News, the sister station of KYW-TV, where she also worked as an intern and production assistant.
Laura earned her degrees in broadcast journalism and political science in Philadelphia at Temple University. The Connecticut native couldn’t be happier to be back in New England living close to her family again for the first time in years, and of course near the great beaches the area has to offer! She likes spending her free time catching up with friends and family, working out, reading, traveling, participating in charitable walks, and rooting for her favorite sports teams, the Phillies and Eagles!
