Shannon Halligan

Multi-Platform Journalist

(WWLP) - Shannon joined the 22News team in June of 2010 as a multi-platform journalist. She’s honored to be a part of western Massachusetts's most watched news team.

Shannon graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. While there, Shannon executive produced, reported and anchored for CitrusTV, the nation’s first student-run news station. During the spring of her junior year, Shannon lived and studied in beautiful Madrid, Spain, and she also enjoyed studying and traveling throughout other countries in Europe and Africa. After returning to the Syracuse campus for her senior year, she commuted to Binghamton to intern with WIVT/WBGH, the NBC/ABC affiliate stations.

Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Shannon quickly fell in love with the East Coast and is thrilled to be here in the Pioneer Valley. In her free time, Shannon likes to dance, eat good food, and watch travel shows.
