(1936-2013) - Clement J. Tynan, Jr., died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Boston, son of the late Clement and Lillian (Walsh) Tynan, he was educated in Brookline and Boston schools.  He settled in Feeding Hills forty-one years ago. Clem served in the Korean Conflict and was an Eagle Scout, a member of and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, JFK Council and a communicant and usher at Sacred Heart Church.  His passion was his garden and showing off his flowers.  He was the co-owner of Pioneer Valley Auto Parts in Feeding Hills, Southwick and Westfield for many years. 

He was the beloved husband of fifty-two years to Mary E. (Black) Tynan, a loving father to Paul C. Tynan of Dennisport, Elizabeth A. and her husband Patrick Moriarty of Feeding Hills, caring brother to Robert Tynan of Springfield, Barbara McNamara of Westfield, Margaret Ryan of Southwick, Claire O’Toole of Dennisport, Patricia Kelly of South Dennis, cherished grandfather to Alexandria Tynan and Erin Shenefield and many loving extended family and dear friends.  He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Mary and a son, Kenneth J. Tynan in 2007. 

The funeral will be Monday at 8:45am from the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street with a Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 9:45.  The burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
