Denise Y. LaBonte

(1950-2013) - It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Denise Y. LaBonte, 60, who died on Friday, January 4, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer.  Denise was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Rolland and Yvette (Trudell) LaBonte, and was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Cathedral High School.  Denise had worked for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, the Diocese of Springfield in the Communication Department and retired from the Polish National Credit Union in Chicopee where she worked as a receptionist and will be missed by many of her colleagues.  She loved animals, especially her beloved dog Emma. 

She leaves a brother and his wife, Dennis and Leslie LaBonte and their daughter, Alexandra LaBonte all of Springfield, two uncles, Robert “Reggie” Trudell of Springfield, Ronald and his wife Barbara LaBonte of Florida, many cousins and a dear friend, Brother Frank Grimaldi.

A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 11:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony Street, Chicopee, followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery in Feeding Hills.  Calling hours are Tuesday at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street from 10-11am.
