Gaetano L. Mercadante

(1924-2012) - Gaetano L. Mercadante, 88, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 17, 2012.  Born in Agawam, son of the late Anthony and Carmella (Christopher) Mercadante, he was a lifelong resident and a self-employed painter.  He also enjoyed bowling. 

He leaves a brother and his wife, John A. and Mary Mercadante of Feeding Hills, two sisters and their husbands, Esther L. and Carlo Lovotti of West Springfield, Geraldine J. and Donald Roberts of Agawam and nieces and nephews. 

The funeral will be Monday at 10am at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service from 9 – 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
