(1928-2012) - Glenn A. Chambers, 83, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 4, 2012. Born in McKeesport, PA, he lived in the Springfield area before moving to Myrtle Beach ten years ago. Glenn was a retired twenty years bus driver for the Springfield PVTA and was also retired from the United States Navy after twenty years of service. He served in World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War.
He leaves his wife, A. Joy (Bourdon) Chambers, three children, Michelle Branch and her husband Larry, Michael Glenn Chambers, Christine Smith, all of South Carolina, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Wendy Peloquin.
A chapel service will be Friday at 10am at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street on Thursday from 4-6pm.
