(1945-2012) - Joseph J. Ventura, 66, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 1, 2012 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Attleboro, he lived here for many years. Joseph was the owner of Sanitary Food Service of New England, serving schools for over twenty years. He retired in 2010. He received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Norwich University in Norwich, VT. He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War and a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. Joseph was a member of the SNEE Farm Country Club in Mt. Pleasant, SC. He was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying golfing, fishing and hunting.
Joseph was a family man who loved his family dearly. He leaves his wife of thirty-one years, Beverly A. (Archambault) Ventura, two daughters, Angela Heather Sierputowski of Springfield, Michelle Meaghers of Marston Mills, and six grandchildren, Corey Pac, Brendyn Pac, Gabrien Duquette, McKenna Meaghers, Michael Meaghers, and Meaghan Meaghers.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet at St. John the Evangelist Church, 833 Main Street, on Thursday for a Funeral Mass at 9am. The burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7pm at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street.
