Jovencio Conui M.D.

(1940 - 2009) - Jovencio “Ben” Conui M.D., 69, of Ludlow, was called to Heaven on November 10, 2009.

Born in Cebu City, Philippines to the late Lucilo and Lourdes Conui, he attended San Carlos University there and then Southwestern University Medical School. Jovencio received his medical degree in 1964 and was a resident orthopedic surgeon at Southern Islands Hospital, also in Cebu City. He worked for many years in the Ludlow Hospital Emergency Room and then at Pioneer Valley Orthopedics.

Jovencio was the beloved husband of 41 years to Rosemary (Pepino) Conui; the loving father to Dr. Carl Conui, of Cambridge and Dale Conui, of Watertown; a dear brother to 5 sisters and 1 brother; and also leaves many other loving family members and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday Nov. 14, 2009 at 10am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am in Christ the King Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday Evening from 5-8 pm and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jovencio’s memory to Christ the King Church 15 Warsaw Ave. Ludlow, Ma. 01056
