Pedro Baltazar

(1916 - 2009) - Pedro Baltazar, 93, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30th. 2009, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Portugal, he lived in Ludlow since 1956.

He was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, and a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club, and Portuguese American Citizens Club. He worked at Moore Drop Forge before retiring in 1981. His wife, the former Laurinda Alves predeceased him in April of 2000.

Pedro leaves his loving children; Francisco Baltazar and his wife Maria, Maria Viera and her husband Antonio and Ana Baltazar all of Ludlow, Preciosa Krause and her husband Peter of Richmond, Ma., 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a sister Aurelia Seara.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 4th, 2009 from the Ludlow Funeral Home, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday morning only from 8:30-10:00am. Donations may be made in Pedro’s memory to Our Lady of Fatima Parish Fund.
