Robert F. Martin

(1939-2012) - Robert F. Martin, 73, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 30, 2012 in Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Chicopee, son of the late Dennis and Celina (Dufresne) Martin, he lived in Agawam for over forty years.  Robert had worked as a mechanic for Sarat Ford and was also a foreman and shop steward for the Laborer’s Union for the Laidlaw Bus Company, now Travel Time.  He was a member of the West Springfield and Sturbridge Coin Clubs and the former Chicopee Coin Club.  He also enjoyed going to flea markets.

He leaves his wife of forty-six years, Lillian L. (Chretien) Martin, five sons, Robert F. Martin, Jr., of Springfield, Gary Martin and his wife Julie of Chicopee, Dennis Martin, Mark Martin, John M. Martin and his wife Patty all of Agawam, two daughters and their husbands, Toni and Glen Beaulieu of Ludlow, Celina and Joseph Willard of Methuen, a sister, Lucille Labarre of Belchertown, twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by two sons, William and James Martin and a sister, Doris Pryzabela. 

Calling hours will be Friday at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 7pm. The burial will be private.
