Vera L. Carlisto

(1926-2012) - Vera L. (Rogerson) Carlisto, 86, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Leroy and Ida (Plante) Rogerson, she lived here most of her life and was a 1944 graduate of Agawam High School. Vera had worked for the former New England Telephone and Pioneer Plastics.  Her husband, Daniel S. Carlisto died in 1987. 

She leaves a son, Michael D. Carlisto of West Springfield, two daughters and their husbands, Cynthia A. and Richard Kozak, Laura J. and Michael Parillo all of Feeding Hills, a brother, Richard Rogerson of Maine, two sisters, Lillian Johnson of Agawam, Shirley Payne of Virginia, a sister-in-law, Louise Rogerson of Enfield, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

The funeral will be Saturday at 10am at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street with burial in Springfield Street Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 4-8pm. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
