(1921-2011) - LUDLOW -  Vincent C. Fabrocini, 90, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, son of the late Guglielmo and Philomena (Petrangelo) Fabrocini, he lived most of his life in Ludlow where he was a faithful communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church within the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth. Vincent proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and Gunners Mate in WWII. He worked for many years at Westinghouse in Ohio and in Springfield semi-retiring in 1979 and more recently worked for Digital in Westfield before permanently retiring. Vincent was an accomplished swimmer and a gold, silver and bronze medal recipient in the Senior Olympics and also daily enjoyed his time spent in the aquatic program at the Ludlow Community Center. His family proudly remembers him as being an inspiration to swimmers young and old. He was also a secretary and treasurer for Little Sun Valley Figure Skat ing Club Trust for over 40 years, and a member of the Lusitano Alumni and Fans, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his beloved family whom he adored.

Vincent was the beloved husband of the late Lynette (Bello) Fabrocini, who predeceased him in 2005; a loving father to Philomena Cellilli and husband Thomas Jr., of NJ, and Dianne Fabrocini, of Ludlow; a proud grandfather of Thomas Cellilli III and wife Bonnie, Brian Cellilli and wife Melanie, Robert Kopec and wife Melissa, and E.J. Kopec and wife Sarah; cherished great-grandfather of Thomas IV, Owen, Aiden, Justin, Brooke, and Morgan Cellilli and Kaitlynn and Kallie Kopec; a dear brother to Sam Fabrocini, of Enfield, Tony Fabrocini, of Southwick, Ersilia Brandoli, of S. Windsor, and the late Raffela Pirro, Mary Circosta, Frances Carrescia, and Connie Vigneault; and also leaves several loving extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:15am from Ludlow Fu neral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 4-7pm and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vincent’s memory to the Ludlow Community Center Randall B&G Club Aquatic Programs 91 Claudia Way Ludlow, Ma. 01056.
