Obama wins Presidential election, NBC Projects

(WWLP-NBC) - NBC News is projecting President Barack Obama has been elected to a second term in office, following a victory in the must-win state of Ohio.

The President's win came following an election with very heavy turnout.

The crowd at President Obama's campaign headquarters in Chicago was jubilant after the state was called in his favor.

The President will preside over a deeply divided country politically over the next two years, as Congress is expected to remain split, with the Republicans controlling the House of Representatives, and the Democrats controlling the Senate.
