As Congress returns from its July 4th recess, President Obama already has some work planned for lawmakers.

He's reportedly going to ask Congress to extend the Bush-era tax cuts to Americans making less than a quarter million dollars a year.

The Obama campaign needs to quickly pivot away from last Friday's feeble jobs report, and it's aiming not only at Capitol Hill, but on Republican Mitt Romney's personal finances as well.

Democrats questioned Romney's off-shore holdings on weekend political talk shows.

Romney's supporters call it a distraction.

"In terms of Governor Romney's financial success, look, I'm happy he's a successful businessman. We have a president who's never run a business," countered Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal.

The fight over Bush-era tax cuts will have to get in line.

On Wednesday the House will try to overturn " Obamacare", an effort going nowhere because Democrats still control the Senate.
