SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Springfield School Committee is still working to put together school Superintendent Daniel Warwick's contract.

School spokesperson Azell Cavaan told 22News it's likely that the school committee will come to a final agreement next week. Once they agree on the terms, they will present the contract to Superintendent Warwick.

Superintendent Daniel Warwick served as the Deputy Superintendent of Schools in Springfield for several years. He took over as Superintendent at the beginning of July.

Former Superintendent Alan Ingram has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
