EVANSVILLE, Indy. (WFIE) - For most women, that diamond engagement ring is one of their most prized possessions.
One woman has a story of how someone found her missing diamond in the rough.
The story begins on February 11, 1995 with a perfect proposal.
"It was just, it was a great night," Christi Hansen said. "We had a 14 month engagement."

Christi wore that ring every day for 13 years until all of a sudden, her half-carat marquis diamond disappeared.
"I looked down and noticed that my diamond was gone out of the top of it," Christi said.
