SUV plows through house

HOUSTON, Tex. (KPRC) - Members of a Houston, Texas family are lucky to be alive after an out-of-control SUV plowed through their home on Thursday.

Nris Herrera was watching two of her grandchildren inside the home when a Chevy Suburban smashed through her garage and front wall.

In shock, Herrera grabbed the children and rushed to the back yard.

The family is now dealing with major repairs, but thankful to walk away unharmed.

Houston police said the driver and her 3-year-old female passenger, who she was babysitting, were not hurt.

Officers issued the babysitter a ticket.
